240ml of fruit juice (any flavor you prefer)
8.5g Agar Agar Powder
Sugar (to taste)
Special Ingredients Black Concentrated Food Colour Paste
Special Ingredients Red Concentrated Food Colour Paste
Silicone Half Sphere Mould
In a saucepan, combine the fruit juice and Agar Agar powder.
Stir until the Agar Agar is completely dissolved.
Add sugar and stir until it's fully dissolved as well.
Heat the mixture over medium heat until it comes to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Pour the mixture into your round silicone moulds, filling them halfway.
Let them cool at room temperature until they're set.
Once the first layer is set, use a small brush to paint a circle with black food coloring in the center of each mold. This will be the 'pupil' of the eye.
Fill the rest of the mould with more agar-agar mixture, and let it set again.
After the second layer has set, paint thin red lines radiating out from the pupil to create a 'bloodshot' effect.
Place the moulds in the refrigerator for at least an hour, or until they're completely set.
Carefully remove the jelly eyes from the moulds and serve.
